Our journey started with a simple vision: to turn under-used urban spaces into productive areas that promote edible gardens where individuals and communities can grow their own food. By focusing on sustainable and organic practices, we help people produce fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs in their backyards or communal spaces, empowering them to live more self-sustainable lives.
Founded by Samantha Barry, Garden Harvest was born from a passion for organic gardening and permaculture principles. Samantha’s extensive knowledge in these fields is complemented by her academic pursuits—studying permaculture through Milkwood, completing her Permaculture Design Certificate with Robin Clayfield at Crystal Waters Eco Village, and postgraduate studies at the Australian Garden Design Academy. Additionally, Samantha is qualified and licensed in landscape construction.
From humble beginnings, our mission has always been clear: to design, implement, and maintain unique edible gardens that sustain both the earth and its people. We believe that every space, whether a small balcony or a sprawling community project, holds the potential to become a sanctuary of abundance and sustainability.
Guided by the core ethics of permaculture – earth care, people care, and fair share – our work is a testament to the balance and respect we hold for the environment. We see each garden as a microcosm that mirrors the integrity and resilience of nature itself. Our values are deeply rooted in:
